I & E Technician

Our company is looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and/or programming electrical equipment on low to medium voltage systems. You will need to understand drawings, schematics, and installing wiring and conduit systems according to specifications. Understanding system automation, specifications and troubleshooting and installations is required. Other tasks in this role include performing preventative maintenance inspections. Applicants should have 4 years of professional electrical\instrumentation experience.

I & E Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install wiring and conduit systems.

• Install and program electrical equipment.

• Follow electrical blueprints and schematics.

• Troubleshoot or replace electrical components as needed.

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections.

• Interpret PLC ladder logic programs.

• Follow local, state, and national electric codes.

• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.

• Perform other maintenance related tasks as needed.

I & E Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.

• Completion of a trade school or training program is a plus.

• Previous experience in an industrial environment strongly preferred.

• Experience using hand tools.

• Mechanical skills.

• Physical ability.

Physical Demands: May include working in extreme hot or cold weather conditions. May require bending, stooping, working in cramped and/or uncomfortable positions. May include climbing ladders, catwalks, scaffolding or operating equipment such as aerial lifts or forklifts.

The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is required. All qualified applicants must possess the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other pre-qualifications as required. The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times.
