HIGH-SPEED PACKAGING MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Basic Function

The High-Speed Packaging Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for safely performing maintenance on Production Equipment within the facility. This role involves preventative maintenance, routine and non-routine Maintenance and reactive Maintenance.

Core Competencies Required

Repairs, maintains, and installs, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operator manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, and other production equipment, using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring and testing instruments.

Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical or electronic test equipment.

Job Description

  • Coordinate the day-to-day maintenance activities within the Customer facility.
  • Schedule and plan maintenance activities for: forklifts, track mobile, conveyors, motors, gear boxes, packaging equipment, dock doors, door locks, and hoist/lifting equipment.
  • Interface with Customer Management teams in production units to utilize welder, I&E Technician, and mechanical technician resources.
  • Interface with Engineering Services personnel to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Interface with EHS personnel to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Develop repair practices and preventative maintenance (PM) programs.
  • Maintain equipment records.
  • Enter notifications with proper coding and priority.
  • Prioritize projects using Process For Change (PFC).
  • Provide maintenance project status and maintenance spending updates during daily production meetings.
  • Help maintain continuity of maintenance issues between shifts by communication.
  • Promote and facilitate safe, efficient, and proactive prioritization, planning, and execution of maintenance work.
  • Assist loading personnel troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Work with Loading Personnel to improve equipment reliability through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) effort.
  • Improve area Safety through active participation in Mundy/Customer BBS observation program.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years experience performing preventative mechanical maintenance on high speed packing equipment.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role demonstrating the candidate's abilities to effectively manage a team.
  • Knowledge and experience with mechanical equipment operation, preventative maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledge and experience with electrical equipment operation, preventative maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong oral communication and listening skills.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to issue safe general work permits.
  • Knowledge of computer software: Word, Excel, SAP, Outlook.
  • Ability to write Check sheets and Job Instructions.
