Description

The Mundy Companies is seeking qualified Senior Instrumentation Technician candidates for the INVISTA Orange, TX facility for temporary assignment.

Senior Instrumentation Technician

Pay: $45- $60/hr based on experience

Schedule: 4-10s, subject to change based on business needs

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

 

Perform reliable instrumentation maintenance troubleshooting and repair to support an operating chemical production unit. Provide strong communication with the operations team with a focus on partnership and teamwork. Execute routine preventive maintenance and compliance tasks to ensure unit reliability and compliance. Assist with Root cause Failure Analysis when necessary.

 

What You Will Need:

  • 5 years’ instrumentation experience in manufacturing facility
  • Experience reading Loop sheets, Electrical one-line drawings, PFD’s, P&ID’s and other technical data sheets
  • Experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation equipment including but not limited to: Transmitters, Transducers, switches, solenoids, valves, tubing and other pneumatic/electrical control devices
  • Use of a HART protocol Communicator
  • Use of a calibration and troubleshooting test equipment including a Multimeter
  • Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, respirators, Arc Flash suits, and encapsulated suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task
  • Willingness to perform basic mechanical tasks as needed such as pulling/installing a valve and making up flanges
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to be in a rotational on-call status for repair needs and for emergency call-ins and work extended shifts as necessary to meet business needs
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, ladders on vessels and columns, ladders associated with scaffolds in excess of 80 feet

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Troubleshooting, Repair, and Replacement of the following:
    • dP cells for flow and level- Preferably 1151 and 3051 Emerson products
      Emerson temperature and pressure transmitters (3144 and 3051 series respectively)
    • Emerson Guided wave radars (5300 series)
    • E&H Guided wave radars
    • Flowserve and Fisher valves
    • Flowserve Beta, XL, 3200 and 3800 series positioners
    • Fisher 3582 and 6200 series positioners
    • Emerson magnetic meters
    • Emerson (Micromotion) Coriolis meter
    • Pressure switches
    • Asco solenoids
    • Masoneilan SVI/II/III positioners
    • Masoneilan 12400 level transmitters
 
Must be able to meet all physical requirements through a Physical Abilities Test (i.e., lifting up to 50 lbs., able to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, wearing all PPE, and working in different climates and conditions)
Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
