Position Overview

Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end flow of goods, from sourcing materials to delivery of finished products focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness. This includes planning, scheduling, inventory control, logistics, process improvements, and invoice resolutions. Ensure regulatory compliance in all safety and supply chain operations as well as purchasing and accounting environments, all while leading teams and utilizing analytical skills to optimize performance to meeting customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Strategy: Develop and implement strategies, process, and procedures to optimize daily operations. Design standardized indirect applications for all necessary plant functions. Able to effectively prioritize and manage a diversified workload, often to strict deadlines.
  • Procurement/Accounting: Create, monitor, update and expedite goods and services for MRO, Packaging, and Raw Materials departments. Approve, manage, and validate freight charges and other additional logistical fees associated. Maintain vendor relationships, coordinate OA discrepancies, and resolve invoice blocks for payments.
  • Inventory Management: Utilize SAP systems to track and monitor inventory levels including all offsite locations, reduce excess and obsolete stock, maintain bill of material accuracy, and reduce supplier lead times that prevents timely maintenance repairs. Manage new code addition to inventory and ensure the completion for all cycle count requirements.
  • Warehouse Operations: Verify and maintain receipt and efficient distributions of goods in coordination with cross functional teams to achieve project and customer specific deliverables and goals. Process supplier RMA, damaged claims, and repair orders. Ensure all data entries for accuracy in SAP, VIM, TMS, Compliant Pro and SharePoint programs.
  • Logistics: Coordinate transportation, scheduling, and delivery to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods via truck, rails, barges, and pipelines. Work with associated brokers for all overseas shipments for customs release and storage as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and validate data, identify risks, and implement best practices to enhance overall supply chain efficiency and productivity by reducing negative impacts to company revenues.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, train/mentor, and develop supply chain teams. Approve time off and vacation requests. Manage team schedules, coverage and delegation of work tasks. Validate and submit employee hours to payroll department for processing. Communicate all changes and updates to the team along with coordination for capital projects.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to safety and regulatory standards. Maintain all records according to plant controller procedures and required retention policies.

Requirement and Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • 3+ years management experience with a background in supply chain
  • Knowledgeable with SAP programs
  • Computer literate and proficient with all Microsoft Office products
  • Forklift certified and/or experience preferred
  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery and familiarity with radio equipment
  • Plant/Industrial experience preferred
  • Flexible schedule

Education and Licensing Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain OSHA Certification within three months after date of hire.
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Hazmat certification
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug test
