Description
The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Waynesboro, VA area:
CRANE OPERATOR
Successful candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous and current experience as a Crane Operator in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
General job requirements:
- Must have had Equipment Operator training and certificate from the NCCCO or NCCER.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years certified experience operating small and medium cranes in an industrial environment
- Must live in and/or around the area of Waynesboro VA, as this is a maintenance position, and therefore there will not be any type of mileage and/or per diem for commuting to work
- Additional knowledge and requirements as needed
Job Duties:
- Operate a stationary or mobile crane to lift, move, position, reposition, or place machinery, equipment, or other large objects at construction sites and inside industrial facilities
- Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of the crane and hoist movement in accordance with signal, written, or verbal commands in a safe and effective manner
- Inspect crane for safety issues daily and determine if any parts may be malfunctioning in order to keep the equipment in safe operating condition
- Inspect, rig, and ensure rigging applications are configured in accordance with the load chart and manufacturer guidelines
- Follow any and all safety regulations, site requirements, company policies, and operating procedures
- Keep the personal safety of everyone in mind at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
