The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a short-term position in the Pasadena, Texas area: 1.0 Position Overview

This position smoothes and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs to specific texture, using hand tools or power tools, including floats, trowels and screeds.

    1.1 Essential Job Functions

•    Signals concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete. Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms. Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms, using rake or shovel. Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, using hand held screeds and floats to bring water to the surface and produce soft topping. Smoothes and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete using power trowel.

    
    1.2 Physical Demands

• 1.2.1 Strength Level Heavy
  • Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
• 1.2.2 Working Conditions
  • May require working in extreme hot or cold weather conditions. Requires working standing on feet most of the work day
