SAFETY COORDINATOR

Successful candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous and current experience as a Safety Coordinator, Safety Technician, or Safety Specialist in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment, as well as an Associate's Degree in occupational health and safety or a closely related field.  The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills; meticulous record keeping aptitude; advanced computer skills, primarily with MS Office software; knowledge of environmental, health, safety, industrial hygiene regulations, industry practices, general risk management; experience with Regulatory inspections.

This position is responsible for supporting Maintenance, Operations and Services to ensure full implementation and consistent execution of Mundy Contractual Services HSE Program. The HSE Coordinator will audit HSE performance, interface with personnel and our client. They will develop and support HSE training programs for the site; perform site audits and provide support to ensure audit findings are closed per Mundy requirements; provide technical and regulatory support for site; lead cooperative efforts with operations team to ensure site achieves all HSE metrics; liaise with customer representatives to ensure Mundy meets or exceeds all client HSE expectations; interact with operations leaders to ensure HSE and operations strategies are properly integrated and implemented. This position is also responsible for other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time.   This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner.  The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required.  All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test, as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
