ANALYZER TECHNICIAN
The Mundy Companies is seeking qualified Analyzer Technician candidates for the INVISTA Orange, TX facility for temporary assignment.
We are looking for individuals who can produce accurate, high-quality work in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment with strong communication skills and proven success in communicating effectively. A successful candidate would need to have the ability to organize, prioritize, and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines, show strong initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team. What You Will Do
- Self-directed to perform daily and weekly self-planned tasks, to maintain equipment reliability and availability.
- Communicate with production personnel to stay informed of the status of the Area’s Analyzer equipment.
- Respond to after-hour calls as needed.
- Utilize SAP system to write notifications, enter equipment history, order and receive parts, self-schedule repairs once parts are received and timing is correct, and locate and disburse parts from local stores' inventory.
- Perform inspection, calibration, and repairs to the following measurement equipment:
- pH
- Conductivity
- O2 measurement
- Various ambient air point detectors
- TDL applications
- Specific gravity measurements as related to concentration calculations
- Dew point/moisture measurements
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation
- 4 – 20 MA signals
- 120/240 VAC power to instruments
- Sample system design and maintenance
- Environmental monitoring equipment for TCEQ and CEMS requirements
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3+ years of experience in Analyzer work in a chemical plant or refinery setting.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as SAP and Lean Kit.
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation

What Will Put You Ahead
- Associate degree in Instrumentation – Electronics, or Process Technology.
- Relevant experience in Instrumentation and Analyzer work in a chemical plant or refinery setting.
- Is knowledgeable of concepts involving the latest analyzer technology.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
- Climbing portable and vessel ladders, sometimes working at elevated heights.
- 70% of work is performed in an outside petrochemical manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test, as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
